Hello,

It needed a going over. New plug and primer bulb and miner adjustments. All is well!

It does pay off, bought this weed eater at a yard sale for $5.00, it had the rope hanging out. New plug and repaired rope and it cranked right up. Too much weed eater for this old man but it was a fun project.

Wish you were closer. I had a Stihl saw that wouldn't fire off the other day. Sitting in the shop and will be 3 weeks before they get to it.

Hello Patsdeere,

Could have posted here? Sometimes I guess right😇. Maybe next time? My e-mail is always been open. The owner son is in the scouts, so he got the scouts discount too. He dropped it off yesterday around 1 p.m. and as I needed to make a parts run today, I was able to get it done for him.

Hello Pete black,

Looks good! This one is the pro model, and he has been using all the right stuff. Built in 1995 to by the EPA label. Sounds strong to me. Will see what he says tomorrow when he picks it up.I usually guarantee my work for the season, and fix anything that comes back free.

Appreciate the offer. Just didn't have time this time to screw with it. Normally I try and do all my own small engine work.

I had a FS70 & it was a RUNNER!! I did have to replace the shut-off switch & that was no fun.. first time splitting one & THEN I got the wrong switch.. but dang, it was a nice machine..
It got caught up in my shop fire.. I went thru 2 or 3 "other" machines afterwards.. my next one will be a Stihl..

Hello thepumpguysc,

Yep this one too!, I told him to watch is toes HE!HE!. Strong as ever,

Guido.

My old cutters wore out and having had good luck with my Stihl cain saws and their easy start feature, I recently bought an FS 50 with the long shank and curved tube (weight saving over gearbox design). It is one mean cutting mama. Thrilled with it and the new chain saw.

Hello Texasmark1,

I have always used a curved shaft one. I have a straight shaft one I use for heavy weeds and saplings. It turns the opposite of the curved one. I never liked it for that reason, strong though. Both are 4 cycles engines. I have a throttle governor on the trigger of the straight shaft one, that frees me to hold on for big stuff when I run the cutting blade. They are both convertible to other attachements

I replaced my old Poulan weed eater about 8 years ago with a Stihl FS 90 bike handle weed eater. The only thing I have had to buy for it is line and gear grease for lower end. It was different to use after having Poulan for 26 years. The thing about the Stihl is you don't have to carry it you have a strap over your shoulder that carries the majority of the weight.
