The ancient Toro electric weedwhacker died the other day. This thing has been rode hard and put away wet for 20 plus years. Dismantled it and found one of the brush springs had been busted for some time. Cut up one of those foam ear plugs and added a heavy rubber band. Lubed it up while I was at it. The old girl works better than it has in years! Score 1 for the redneck repair!

We'll find out, won't we? So far it's doing great.
Had a friend stop looking for a spring to put in the trigger for his air rachete (sp). I didn't have one but did have some 30 Thousands stainless mig wire wraped it around a small nail it matched the size of his spring. He went home cut it to length and put it to work. Really amazed me what you can do with fancy wire.
