bought new with small < 1/16" white tubing for argon gas. where can i find a fitting to adapt. welding supply places have nothing. lowes nothings

Try a shop that works on big trucks. They usually have every sort of airline fitting made.
 
If it's actually 1/8" OD, you can just use a ferrule fitting or a push to connect air brake line fitting. Those Clarkes were made in Italy so possibly metric tube. Fitting should be available somewhere though. Mine came with one so I never had to size it. You could also check ebay. There are guys selling parts on there too.
 
Are you measuring the OD of the tubing?

Tubing is sized by the OD, I haven't seen any fittings smaller than 1/8".

They may be out there, but not familiar with them.

That is a very real possibility.

Need to look on the line, some have the size printed on it. Otherwise need to get som accurate measurement. There are 3 mm, 4mm, too close to tell what it is without measuring.

It may also have British pipe thread. That's a real challenge, too close to tell by looking, just different enough to wreak havoc with the threads if the wrong fitting is screwed in!
