Removing paint from concrete

Somebody spray painted my concrete retaining wall with what was not writing or a design---just ugly markings. Maybe ten feet long by two feet high. I got it off with an angle grinder, but I wouldn't have minded finding an easier way. Any advice?

When I got out of high school in 1993 I worked for a company who sold concrete construction supplies. They sold a graffiti remover but I can't remember the name. Probably something on the net if you Google it. There is such a product.

One guy I know had a bunch of as..... oles painting stuff. He took cheap dish soap and sprayed all of the concrete sufaces. Washed off with a,pressure washer. Trouble was any time it rains you need to respray the surface with the soap. Give an area a try and see how it works for you.

Easier how, Stephen? It took me ten minutes and cost nothing. Using paint stripper and a power washer would have entailed a purchase and a rental, two stops and probably $40 out of pocket. Better looking results, though? You'd have me on that one.

Fedex dropped a gallon of tractor paint on my concrete stoop---i hired a guy who powerwashes with 3000 psi and hot water---it had set for 2 weeks but came really clean

When nothing else works, go to a body shop supply and get aircraft stripper. Don't breath fumes, don't get it on you, etc. It's bad stuff, if it sits on the shelf very long, it will eat thru the can it's in.
