Do they make gasket cement in a spray can rather than a squeeze tube??

Permatex name is Copper Coat. NAPA has the same stuff under their name . If you read the lot numbers on the sjde of the can you will see the client code is the only difference. Works very nicely and you don't need a whole lot of it. Kinda a blend of rubber cement with powdered copper mixed in. Not cheep though.

I agree with Steve, it is a contact cement, so apply to surfaces, put gaskets together, then pull apart for a few minutes so it can dry, then finish.

The Permatex I used was called "High Tack" and worked good.
