I need some help, about keeping my tomato plants free from bugs, worms etc..I had the best plants last yr.grew to about 6 ft. full of tomatos but worms invaded. and I did not get a one,i was using a dust, didn't seem to bother them..started to see worms about an inch long smaller than a pencil also the big horn worms ,. so what do any of you suggest thanks

I almost never have bug problems in my garden but I do have marigolds and sweet basil planted in the garden around the other plants and the 2 of them seem to help a lot with many bug and animal problems

What OLD said times two
I put one marigold plant for each tomato plant with no chemical and
have very little problem with worms or any other pests

thanks for the tips, never thought about the marigold solution, i'll try both and see what happens.. i added Epson salts to each plant when put them in the ground a tip picked from here, last yr. worked very good

I used the old time-tested method of inspecting the plants often, and hand-picking the horn worms off as they appear. We gardened for 40 years and never had a problem.

thanks again for the info. I have started on some of the suggestions. I have beautiful plants growing, I hope I can make everthing come togather
