Tractor Paint

I would like to spray paint some parts on my JD but concerned about the paint, label reads do not thin more than 10%. Its a rust prevent paint ( repairing rust spots) . Anyone with experience with thinning & spraying RustOleum type paint? Thanks

I have had fairly good results using the thinner recommended by Rustoleum on the label of their products. Not showroom quality mind you, but I was pleased. And far better than the rusty old tractor I started with.

Xylene does not sound familiar though.

As I recall now, their Rusty Metal Primer uses a different thinner than their colors require, so be sure to read the label for your particular type of paint.
