My eight year old pump was not man enough for the demands of my new heat system. I upgraded to a variable speed 1 hp pump. Is the used pump worth anything to someone? Is there a good way to store it so that it retains its value?
thank you

If it was still working when you took it out it certainly is worth something, depending on your water quality and amount of use. When you took it out was it still pumping as much volume and when it was new? If you find a buyer I would give them some warranty. I was told they should be stored standing up, so the shaft doesn't sag.

Depends on how deep the water level is around your area. If you can DIY a pump install, then a used pump has value. But if you have to have a well service truck come out and pull 500 feet of pipe to get the pump out, most peeps will want a new pump.

Put it on Ebay, somebody will buy it.

Worked very well. I needed a min. of 8 gallons for just the furnace and then more for the household demands. I do have it standing up in the garage.
