22.5 volt battery

Well it is an old analog meter. Those you show in the link are digital probably would work for what I use it for though there are times when the Analog is better.
I just thought it was such a waste of a good meter to just pitch it over a battery. I can still check voltage with it yet.

They can still be had so I was told a couple of weeks ago. But they never seem to go bad. I've got a couple of old Bell testers and mine are still good. In my old testers, each has two that work in series and provide 45 VDC talk battery for line testing. Glad to see that they really can still be found. The 9 volt provide metering functions in mine, so even if my 2x22.5 volt go dead, unless I need someone to hear my voice down the line, not the end of the world. Still working meters just the same.

(quoted from post at 07:56:48 04/07/17) I am looking for a 22.5 volt battery for my volt ohm meter. It looks like a regular 9 volt battery.

Ebay or a local electronic supply store should have them... My old Triplett and Simpson use the same battery... they do last a loooooong time

I've kept my old analog meter for the same reason, slowly varying voltages or current are much more easily seen with that wavering meter. I pull it out to use it about once every 3 or 4 years. The digital gets the most work.
