Just seems to me that the makers of WD-40 just dont seem to pump enough gas into there cans, i bet i have 6 of them in my shop. they are 1/4 to 1/3 full and when you press the little red spray knob on top , nothing happens. Sometimes you get a little leakage. Otherwise its a huge let down when you need to lube something and nothing happens. This happen to anybody else?

Diesel fuel in a pump oil can or a sprayer that you can charge with compressed air will do everything that skunk %%%% will for a LOT less money.

A great video Steve . I have been doing this for a year or two now , it works and is so simple , it has saved many cans that would have gone into the bin otherwise .
One restriction , you can use it for paint but you need to use it all up at once otherwise it goes hard in the can .

Menards sells wd40 by the gallon and a small container you put it in with a sprayer. I buy it by the gallon. Buy it when Menards has their 11% rebate, which seems to be very often.

If I need to blow something out, apply wd40 then use air compressor.

I drill a 1/8 hole in the top, let the gas out, and dribble it on parts when I get a can like that. I don"t use WD40 anymore since they changed their formulation, and I can"t remember ever having a problem with what I use now- PB Blaster.

I re pressurize all my cans by using an air gun Nozzle on the cap while pushing down on the cap to let the pressure in

I buy the WD40 by the gallon and fill spray bottles with it. Much cheaper and no pressure problems. They even sell spray bottles marked as WD40, so they are easy to pick out.

I love the large fil cap for those pump bottles. Darned PB sprayer that came with their gallon isn't worth trying, leaks, won't spray, fill it and temp changes pump the thing empty on the shelf. Oreillys asked me what I wanted from a free spray bottle..... So now I've got 4 WD bottles, 2 have an orangish tint from the blaster in em.
