Kellogg American 335TV Compressor

Getting ready to try and get this going. Got a 4.5" pulley for 3hp motor that I hope will work out. Needing to replace unloader and breather lines. Will copper tubing work for this?

CURIOUS as to what a "breather line" is on an air compressor.

WONDERING what the original lines are made of (since you're asking") as all I've ever seen on older air compressors is copper. LIKELY use some unique fittings, as well.

Crankcase breather plumbed into the head intake. Hardly see it anymore on modern pumps.

Fired up unit and pumped 150-160# pressure before relief valve unloaded. Do you buy these for a preset pressure? Pulling around 20 amps while running. Was able to start with pressure on by breaker. Was testing and haven't put pressure switch on yet. I noticed the hydraulic line I placed from pump to tank was rather warm. This is normal?

YES... I have a hydraulic line on mine the original failed on a holiday I needed the compressor BAD and got a bud open his shop and make me a hydraulic line up FAST... Its been that way for at least 10 years

maybe longer....

In the pix you can see it coming off the head to the tank... I also use a AC automotive hose to connect the tank to the shop air line... A poor boy has got to do what a poor boy has to do...
