So my skidloader doesnot have aux ports. I would like to use loader with a farmhand 8 bale pickup. Problem is making the grapple part work without aux ports. I was wondering about electric actuator as replacement of hydrolics.. any thoughts or options..

I'm sure electric actuators strong enough are available, trouble is with the electric power available they will be very slow to be strong enough. Be better to add hydraulics

Look at them as an electric jack, fairly strong on the push, but limited on their abilities to have a strong retraction without tearing the actuator body apart. We used them a lot on golf course equipment when I was at Deere, you could get them to push way over a thousand lbs, but it was no problem to rip them apart on the pull back. You might get away with it on your grapple, but I think you would quickly get tired of the speed at witch they move
