You seem to rebuild a lot of rechargeables. Are these B&D 12 volts worth it.

$18.65 on ebay, free shipping. If you decide to buy, find a seller that offers a square deal extended warranty. Those batteries are usually better.

Hello Miket(NEOhio),

Can't tell by the picture, they seam to be 2/3 C 1200 Ma. I would just buy a replacement pack. Hard to find higher capacity if they are 2/3 C. They do a good job even at that rating,

Guido.

Hello Mike(NEOhio),

Here is what I got last time I needed batteries. There are 15 sub c cells in that pack. I use the charger for slow charging rate on newly rebuilt packs. Gave the drill away to the neighbor,

Guido.

Thanks all. Just wondering if it would be worth the effort. Wife bought the first one several years ago, around $20. After a while it wouldn't hold a charge so she went for another battery and saw the whole drill, charger and two batteries for less so she bought another. Of course, a year or two and that set won't hold a charge.

Hello Mike(NEOhio).

Are they getting charged fully, and charging for the same time? Now that you have the pack out, you may find that just one cell is bad. Usually the one that goes bad is the first one where the pack charging contacts are,

Guido.

Mike,
Not holding a charge was my experience with Ni-Cd too.

Perhaps my mistake was not fully discharging them about every 5 charges or leaving them in charger and battery chargers cooks the battery.

I know have a better charger that shuts off when fully charged.
