Headset radio question

I'm considering purchasing a headset with radio to wear this Spring when in my fields as none of my tractors has a cab. I would like one that keeps the sound down with a good and dependable listening radio quality. Does anyone have a recommendations as to what brand & model purchase? I see DeWalt has some but didn't see very many reviews to make a decision. Any assistance is always appreciated.

I had an OA Smith headset with hearing protection that I used in the workshop. Not doing that work anymore so sent it to my grand nephew last month. He uses it quite a bit; I suspect that he uses it when riding the school bus to block out all the noise and listen to whatever he likes to listens to.

wear a set when mowing grass, radio shack, about 80.00 radio station local real good ,50 miles away QFM96 still good but the battery life is about 3-8hr days and then your lookin for new batterys. 2-AAA batterys, and dont buy the cheap ones they dont last as long, get duricell or energizer [sam's club] 30 AAA for 15.00 dollors

You guys are costing me money, had to check out 3M headsets after reading this thread. Found a guy selling WorkTunes headsets for $27.00 on eBay. How could I loose, same model at Home Depot is $49.00.

I use my 3m work tunes all the time. I purchased the Bluetooth model last year for about $60 on Amazon. The corded version is cheaper. I never use the radio but use the Bluetooth for listening to the albums on my phone. Its great!

Peltor Worktunes. They block ambient noise nicely, and the AM/FM radio works well.

My only complaint is they are warm. Very nice in cold weather, but annoying when it's sunny and hot.

I believe I use a 3m? It is yellow and has radio function. Like others have said it can get warm in the summer and get sweat built up around it. I got rechargeable batteries and a wall plug charger for them so I know I'm good to listen to some tunes (and keep out the noise). One thing I will mention is that my model has a 3.5mm audio jack on it as well... This lets you plug in a mp3 player or something and listen to audio from that (I plug in a mp3 player and listen to science fiction audio books) and doing this uses the mp3 devices battery. Meaning you dont even need the headset turned on to listen this way.

I picked up 3M Work Tunes at Northern tool in the $20 range. The radio is absolutely the best it works anywhere were other radios won't. It also is good for shooting etc it blocks out all other outside sounds. I wore them this winter my thoughts were I bet they are going to be hot in the summer That's the only downside I see.
