coating for tractor tires

I'm looking for a coating for my tractor tires to protect them from the sun. I don't want the spray shiny stuff in a can.

Think about an awning shop or a place that does boat covers.Ask them to sow up some covers to slip over the tires like they make for RVs.

You can get black tire paint thru miller tire. It is designed to eliminate/repair tire fade and weather checking. It takes a little trial and error to make it look decent but overall it does improve the look of old tires. It is a water based liquid rubber product, so it is easy to apply, clean up, redo, and leaves a matte finish that matches the tire. However because it is rubber based it reacts to the sun the same as the tire, so you will have to reapply periodically to keep a consistent, desirable finish.

I have been told that plain old latex house paint will work just fine. Haven't tried it myself.

As an old farm tire repair man, do what Jim in ma says. Do not paint them.
