Battery powered grease guns

I'm shopping for a battery powered grease gun. Any recommendations or warnings? I'd like to try Dewalt so the batteries would
match with drill, saw, etc. but a neighbor was negative about their product so am cautious about them. What's a good place to buy
tools like that? Thanks in advance.

I've never used a Dewalt, but still, I would stay with the same tool that your batteries fit.

If you buy it, and don't like it, you can always return it.

You can buy them at the big box stores, Ebay, Amazon. Whatever is convenient for you.

You could also shop around for a used 12v grease gun that has favorable reviews but poor batteries. Add a cord with a couple of battery clamps and you can connect it to ANY 12v battery.

Could even use inexpensive outdoor extension cords to make it so if you need extra length, just work a 20' or longer cord in the middle.

I got a new looking 12v Lincoln at a pawn shop without a charger. Took about 20' of speaker wire and put a couple of clamps on one end and soldered other to batt posts on gun, hook it up to the battery, works good.

I bought a dewalt grease gun without batteries or charger because all my cordless tools are dewalt. I bought mine when they first came out. Mine works great, will recommend one.

Most around here have the Lincoln, I think because that's the one farm equipment dealerships sell. I shopped, and am glad I did. I bought the smaller (12V) Milwaukee. It sets on its own little legs. I like it much better than the Lincoln.

I don't know if you can go into the big box stores and shop for a Dewalt grease gun to match your batteries. Big box stores here have batteries and chargers the same as my grease gun, and all kinds of tools which use the same, but NO grease guns!

I got the cheapie at Tractor Supply. I work in a lawnmower shop and some of the Toro spindles take 100+ squirts to fill them. So it got used a lot!

It worked great the first year.

About a year and a half I started experiencing my batteries requiring more frequent charging. We got more batteries and I was back in business.

About three months after that, I noticed that every time the motor started, it would puff a bit of smoke. I put it off to having a bit of grease run in there.

After about another month and a half, all the rest of the smoke came out of the motor. . .

I am on my second Lincoln and have had it for 4 years, but my next will be dewalt as all my cordless stuff is dewalt. I do not have any complants about the Lincoln I have but want common battery's so always have battery charged.

I agree! I still have the Lincoln but not used it in years. I had so much trouble with it last time it was used it went flying across the shop. The Milwaukee takes the M18 batteries same as my other cordless tools.

I have a 18V Dewalt, about 3 years old and works fine. Lone complaint is the motor and pump have so much power that when a clogged fitting opens the pressure relief valve you dont know it until you look down and see the mess.

I have had an 18v dewalt gun ever since they hit the market. I am very happy with it. I have used the Lincoln and it works fine too. The Lincoln is much lighter than the dewalt gun is about the only thing I could say in comparison of the two.

John Deere sells the best battery grease gun and I've owned several brands. I bleed red by the way.
