I dug into the guns this morning and also talked to the gut that owns them. One was new in the box and didn't work the other two he has had for a long time and thought they may be worn out as they had lost strength over time. The one that he said was new he told me he picked up with a group of tools from a former gas station/garage owner who had shut down and retired maybe 10 or more years ago. These and many other tools had set in an unconditioned building. The assembly grease had set up and stuck the vanes in the air motor as well as the drive hammers. I had thought it was an old tool as well as it was dirty and scratched up. come to find out it had ridden around as a spare on his truck bouncing around for a while before and after he found that it didn't work. A little solvent and new lubricant and it seemed to do great. The vanes were new and looked to be the same size as those in the two other guns. I did find that one was missing a socket head bolt and the others were loose. It would barely run. The other was weak but did run and hammer just not very hard. The socket head bolts were not tight on it either. What I found on 2 and 3 were blown gaskets where the air motor and the impact head come together. I cleaned and lubed everything freed up the vanes and oiled. Cut new gaskets and reassembled. All three seem strong to me, time will tell. I gave them back to my friend and told him to try them and if need be we can order and install kits in them. I think the two had just had gasket problems based on the bolts getting loose and blowing the gasket. Anyway thanks for the help and don't be afraid to tear into one of these they are simple and their are videos on you tube. Thanks
