Secure slip fit with loctite?

Trying to convert an electric motor from sleeve to ball bearing.. long story short, I was afraid of cracking the bells by press fitting bushings in. So I made them a very tight slip fit. Can I secure them with red loctite? They shouldn't see much load, just have to stay put.

Buy some retaining fluid. Loctite makes their version. I should be at the auto parts store with the low, med and hi strength Loctite. It is a dark green in color. I use it for just such applications.

Many moons ago I worked in a motor rewind shop.
Red Loctite was commonly used for what you are doing.
Also common to take a small punch and make a series of small evenly spaced marks in the bearing race before putting the bearing in.
This helps tighten things up and keep the bearing centered until the Loktite hardens.

Says it wicks and made for your application. I never used it so I was curious as I too was going to suggest red. Course blue and red do a good job of wicking. I have put a dab on a screw and next thing you know it's all up and down the threads. Never used purple.
