I get a lot of junk mail and seems that the more I opt out to stop them the more I get. Anyone else have that experience ?

Yes. I usually just delete them but when I unsubscribe I seem to get more. Most of those go to a service and not the sender. I keep a list to see if they come back.

Unless it's a legit business you've dealt with and given them your email address, clicking on the "opt out" link just confirms they've reached a real human/a valid email address and rather than stopping the emails, they will simply add it to an email list they sell for $$$ and you'll get a factor of ten more emails.

You didn't mention who your email provider is, if local they may be able to add a spam filter to your account for a few bucks a month, or get a free Outlook or Gmail account where there's a lot of filtering for FREE.

Yes clicking unsubscribe just adds you to there list of real addresses.

I like gmail. They have a really good spam filter. If I mark a message spam it goes to the spam folder forever. If something not spam gets filtered mark it as not spam and it will be not be spammed again.

I use thunderbird which can be "taught" to intercept all email designated as spam and put them in the junk folder. Once setup it works quite well.

Never hit that unsubscribe button. You can go to your internet provider and change your setting to get rid of a lot of spam.(and while there you may find emails that you want but your provider has blocked.)
