Here is my new toy. My first choice would have been a Quincy, but NAPA had a truckload sale on these.

My old compressor runs really really hot and has about half of it's rated CFM, only makes a difference when sandblasting but the temperatures it attains scares me. Also, the tank must really have a lot of rust in it, even under pressure I cannot drain it. Again, that tank is now on my scary list. My bother had a craftsman compressor tank that split. Fortunately, no one got hurt.

Wishing you the very best with your purchase, but I have absolutely no luck at all with
Dewalt products. They will not stand up to my daily use.

Does "truck load" mean a really good price? Hope ya did good. You now have a trio of sucking valves going on. Looks pretty. Check and maintain that oil level !!!

I'll tell ya what I tell everyone with a compressor.
Dial the pressure down to 120psi and that compressor
will last a lot longer.
If you need more power at the tool, get a bigger diameter
hose to get more volume at the tool.
Good luck with it, it looks like a good machine.

Let it run for about 30 mins. with the ball valve open. This is a good way to break the compressor in. Then after about 10 hours I would drain the oil & replace with a good compressor rated oil or the best 30Wt. non-detergent oil I could find.

There's nothing specifically "dewalt" here, except the tank paint. I've see at least 2 similarly configured units with different brand names. Same pump, same motor, same..

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have seen them in different colors in different stores. I also notice these compressors (pump only) can be found on ebay, etc, etc. We'll see how it does. If it does not do well it will be a Quincy or Ingersoll Rand.

I appreciate the comments, especially regarding break-in, oil, and pressure.

Given we are in the doldrums of winter, I thought everyone would appreciate some pictures.

Wrong color scheme, doesn't match your tractors, needs to be Green with Yellow trim. LOL - Just teasing. Nice looking unit. Good luck with it.
