Anyone ever use it. I have a plastic bath tub which yesterday I repaired numerous cracks with epoxy for plastic. Then I picked up a can of Flex Seal I was going to spray the bottom of it to insure I had gotten all the leaks. Now having had time to read the instructions it says not to submerge in water until it has dried 48 hours. If I use this stuff the tub will have to be used in 12 hours. Would it really take 48 hours for one coat to dry enough to use it?

I've tried it on three different gutters. Failed each and every time. Even after several light coats.
I think it is a waste of money if the joints are going to flex or expand with different tempertures.
In my opinion, the best advertising, but worse product.

We used rubber undercoating like you spray under your car/truck fenders for years for water sealing. Comes in a spray can at most auto parts stores. Was around $4 a 16 or so oz. can last time I bought some.

Yep. I used it around a leaky skylight. Worked fine for about 6 months until I got around to a more permanent fix.i think the sun beating on it day in and day out was tough on it.

Check with a local plumber. Mine recommended Bondo and mesh to repair my cracked fiberglass bath tub. It worked well but the colors did not match. When you are inside the tub you can see the repaired spot. It was over five years ago, if I remember right there was a several hour drying time between coats and a day or more drying time before the tub could be used. If a chunk is missing, I would replace the tub.

If the bottom of the tub is cracking, it may not be properly supported by a bed of mortar.

I had tried fiberglass resin on the tub but it didn't adhere very well to the plastic tub. I'm still using fiberglass cloth but using epoxy for plastic for the resin. It seems to adhere a lot better. I was just afraid there would be a small leak here and there is why for insurance I thought I would coat the tub with flex seal.

There isn't any mortar under the tub, only the remains of a particleboard sub-floor. I'm just trying to buy some time until I can get another bathroom built. Then I'm going to tear everything out of the room and rebuild it and put in a new tub.

I sprayed around a 3000 bu steel bin to stop seeping of rain water. three coats, after 3 months it was cracked in the middle nearly all the way around. Not very good reviews on interweb search.
