Ford 850 Clutch Fork Removal instruction?

I recently installed a new clutch, PP, TO bearing and Pilot bearing on my 1955 Ford 850. I noticed the clutch fork shaft had some slop in the shaft bushing where it goes out through the case. I want to replace the bushing.

My question is how to remove the STEEL PIN that holds the forks to the shaft, so I can slide the shaft out of the case.

Any instructional guidance or experience would be appreciated.

I have not done one on an 850, but have done this a bunch of times on other older Fords. Remove release bearing carrier and all external pedal linkages to the shaft. Rotate the shaft so the pin is horizontal and using a punch, drive the pin out. Note that the pin may be a tapered pin, a straight pin, a straight pin with a head, or a bolt.

Finally got it out, What a nightmare!
Tried pounding with no success.
The pin appeared to have been pressed in like a rivet, it was squeezed from both sides.
Ended up drilling it out.
You only have clear access to drill from one side.
