Im restoring my old 2N Ford. Repainting and Rebuilding as needed. Not converting to 12V changing anything on it as I dont intend personally to use the tractor for any kind of work again. Just take it to the fair once a year is prob about it but who knows on down the road. When we drained the oil from the tranny we found some fairly large pieces or chips of metal. Taking the top off with the gear shift lever I discovered that on the two main gears (the largest gears) there were several of the teeth (maybe 6-8 total) that had chips out of the tooth and one end or the other. I dont know if the damage is bad enough to tear it apart and replace those two gears or not. I thought I would post some pics and solicit opinions. I appreciate all thoughts either way on this. Thanks in advance for your responses.
