I was in an Amish store that carries lots of surplus stuff and saw a few of these. I have no idea what they are. A cast copper head like and axe on a steel shaft about 12 to 14 inches with a pointed end.

A local old man still uses the very same soldering iron to reseal the bottom seam of old galvanised iron water tanks .
