My wife wanted one of those
funky Japanese cutters. I picked
up a broken circular saw blade
(from a place I used to work at)
used for cutting steel tubing
and had a piece of a limb from a
tree that fell over in a storm
about three years ago.

CGID has it right. I have one of those that was given to me for Christmas and even came wit ha catalog for ordering them

Reminds me of a "rolling knife" I saw advertised, complete round circle, open in the middle with a handle that lets the rolling knife rotate within.

My boy bought a round knife like you made, about 16 inches long, It works great for cutting pizza.

When it comes to knifes, I buy what's cheap. My boy is just the opposite.

For my birthday he gave me a pocket knife, told me not to lose it. So I put it in the arm rest of my truck. Used it once and it was extremely shape, cut myself. Then I googled knife, $150. No wonder he told me not to lose it.

Years later for Christmas, I regifted the knife, gave it back to him. He was happy. Absolutely nuts to pay $150 for a pocket knife.

Looks good. Maybe you can turn it in to as big an empire as John Deere did with a broken saw blade.

The beauty of a gift and a personalized gift at that: Every time she uses it she will be thinking of you......even when she cuts herself......naw, just kidding. Nice work.

Yes, he was a good student, but loves expensive knifes. I like making something out of nothing. Feels good saving money. Don't you agree? Been waiting on progress report on wood hauler .

Hello Mike(NEOhio),

I am glade you are exercising you Italian muscles, but no aItalian would be cought dead with one of those HE!HE! Its a Eskimo knife called a ulu......

Guido.

We picked one up on our Alaska trip in 2014....an ulu is a very handy cutting instrument...use it a lot.

My first reply was made in haste. Now that I have more time, I can tell you that's a great use of an old blade. They would probably sell well at a fair.
