I discovered dishwasher works better by installing the special gismo on the end of the new hose opposite of what I showed a pic of previously. MarkB you are right. However installing it backwards did allow water to sometimes flow, but not all the time. I removed new hose, played around with the old hose and using old hose.
Other than taking more time than the old kitchen aid, the maytag does a great job. If you think this dishwasher takes too much time, google the new dishwashers and many take about the same time on a normal wash cycle with no heat. Maytag takes longer is you want to heat water to a higher temp or you want to dry dishes.
Many dishwashers I researched don't have heat or electric drying capability.
Not so sure is the sticker on the front is correct, it says MADE IN AMERICA. doesn't mean all the parts are imported. How many other dishwashers can say Made in America? So do I get some small credit for making America Great Again?
