Hydraulic pump output

I was reading the specs on a mini excavator and the hydraulic output was written as follows: 2.7 gpm + 2.7 gpm, the pressure rating was written
in the same format, 2485 psi + 2485 psi. No where in the spec sheet or literature does it mention that the machine has 2 pumps or 2 remote
auxillary valves so I don't know if that means there is a 2 stage hydraulic pump operating or what. Anyone know why the values would be
written this way?

Thanks.

It may have 2 similar pumps piggybacked together ? I had a small Kubota once and it had 2 or 3 ? separate pumps on it.

Probably like Mike M said a tandem pump.
Basically two pumps bolted together inline and driven off one shaft.
Common for one section to be dedicated to steering and the other to run loader, hoe etc.

I wonder if both pumps are available for the auxillary hydraulics? The spec sheet is not very informative. Trying to figure out if this machine will run an auger, the 5.4 gpm would run a small one but that's about the minimum. The spec sheet calls the auxillary hydraulic lines "hydraulic PTO" , I have never heard this term used for remote outlets either and it makes me wonder if there is something more to the system.

One pump is for travel since the track motors take a fair amount of flow to run, The second is for your hydraulic functions, this isn't to say there isn't a priority valve plumbed in to give additional flow to the functions. Even so I don't think it has what an auger will need, the auger may quit turning when you lift it out of the hole.
