Cold weather and extension cords

I'm growing weary of extension cords that become completely inflexible in temperatures of 45 of lower. I am comfortable working in the shops at those temps but trying to use the cords makes it very difficult. Anyone have a suggestion for cords that aren't so adversely affected by low temps?

Thanks is advance

Good quality sjo cord is what we use for truck block heaters at work and they roll up fine even below zero. A generic Wal-Mart cord won't be flexible at all

Yes on the blue cords. We had them at work to plug in the trucks and whenever I had to work in the cold--most always outside repair.

Steve,
I've minimized the need for cords in shop and barn by having many outlets, one on each pole 8 ft apart. 4 ft apart at workbench. Having outlets in ceiling. Even have a auto wind up 25 ft cord hanging in middle of pole barn.

Some people like to hardwire a generator so they don't trip on extension cords. Well I for one don't like tripping over cords or hoses in shop or barn.
