Here is a picture of the label on the side of an anvil I own. I can't read it, but wondered if someone knows the manufacturer?

Take a piece of paper and a soft lead pencil and gently do a tracing or"rubbing" and it might come up as readable. Also try a lite pass with a cloth and a little shoe polish.

My wife takes a big piece of white chalk and goes over the writings on gravestones to make them readable.
Might work here too?
