Canedy Otto Drill Press

I have a Canedy Otto No . 17 Drill Press. That's the large floor model type with all the exposed gears and it originally ran from a belt on a line shaft. Anybody know what it is worth?
Thanks,

The open gear and flat belt drive drill presses are not worth much. Any business with employees can not use them with out installing a bunch of guards to meet OSHA requirement. I see these type sell on auctions several times each year. Usually not bring over $100.

I have one too by that brand name. search Google and you find the company went out of business about the tine WW2 started. I gave $70 for mine and I did not like the gear motor which was too slow. I bought a new either a 1/2 0r 3/4 hp motor cost another $70. It is not worth $140. if indecent shape perhaps $100, A new Chinese one mat not cost much more and likely be a better machine, The table has to be raided or lowered by lifting as there is no rack and crank for raising or lowering. Mine did have a good Morse taper and a good Jacobs chuck. But think it has to be over 75 years old. My "big" 16 x72 lathe is over 100 years old.
