log splitter other uses

Looking to buy a splitter, remembered a guy used one in a junk yard to remove tires from rims for scrap steel- anyone else have any other uses ??

Guy in a yard that closed many years ago did that. He had a kind of a cressent shape die on the end of the machine and the ram would make the third "dent". You need to remember that almost all cars today have mag rims now and they need to peal them off

I use mine to flatten the ends of the well pipe before I make a gate. I used to smash them flat with a sledge and an anvil. One day I saw the tractor and splitter sitting there and couldn't believe I'd worked so hard for all of those years.

I had to cut a steel wagon wheel down to match the others I was using. After cutting the spokes out and cutting a section out of the wheel, I used my log splitter to shape the outer wheel back to round and the shortened the spokes and welded them back inside the wheel.

Not sure where you are, or what exactly you're looking for, but here's a link to one I built this summer that works real nice. https://delaware.craigslist.org/grd/5831498928.html

Port-A-Power to lift implements when there is no tractor around, load the splitter in a pickup and go move a disk

Saw an ad where a guy mounted a vertical sausage stuffer horizontally on a small electric log splitter make for some quick sausage stuffing.

I have been thinking about taking my three point hitch splitter and see if I could split rocks with it. If so I could make a nice side walk for just labor and gas. Any body know if that works?

Do you have medical insurance?

If you have sandstone or other weak rock it would work. Probably need to make some kind of chain mail curtain around the rock while you're splitting it, so it don't grenade on you.
