I need to purchase a manlift that can be towed with a truck or tractor, prefer as close to or in Canada as possible, any leads are appreciated thanks

Check out your local rental company's for their next excess inventory sale. I have seen many older rental units that were bought for private use.

I'm also wanting to buy a man lift. I've been researching all kinds. I find a good used trailer model is just as much money as a good used drivable one. A drivable 4 x 4 one will go in more places. A towable is lighter, and won't tear up lawns like a drivable one. You can move a drivable from the platform. Trucking a drivable is expensive. Pro's, and con's to both. I'd like a 40 - 45 footer. They weigh 11,500 - 15,000 pounds. Get into a 60 footer, you can add another 10,000 pounds.

Most of the rental companies sell their used ones when it is due for annual re certification and is too old or too expensive to re certify. If you are the only one who will be using it, you will be OK,but if you have employees using it and something goes wrong and it is not certified, the liability will be very expensive.
