Got a deal on some forks one pair is 8 inches wide by 4 feet long-don't laugh but is there any way to split it to make 2- 4 inch forks ? 2 inch thick at heel.

Water jet would be where I'd start. The fork itself would fit in the machine but the upright part might be a struggle to clear the head. Water jet machines are more common than you'd think, ask around.

Wire EDM would be another possibility. However you do it, I bet that the two halves will curl when separated. Would have to cut 2" off each side at the same time.
