Florida storm.

Watching cnn and they are all jumping up and down about this huricane.
Government is telling anyone who stays will die. Emergency department
is shipping in body bags. Gas stations are empty. Everyone should run
to the western side of Florida. Over 250 dead in hati. And NOW they
are saying the storm will go up the Florida coast to Georga and turn
around and do it again! Thay have told all of the idiots that we will
NOT rescue you! Wonder where this one is going?
 
Well, Haiti is a very poor island with over 10 million residents that only lost 250 people. Florida is almost an island lol, but with modern infrastructure. The sky is falling! Not to downplay the damage it can do but every hurricane gets 100% coverage until they determine there will be no damage
 
When I was in Florida, I saw all those houses within a couple hundred yards of the shore. And then after every hurricane everyone is crying about all the deaths and lost houses. I wonder, Why the heck would ANYONE buy a million dollar house anywhere near the coast where there's pretty much a hurricane every year???
 

Slick Willie will be put in charge of handing out a new blue tarp for the survivors to shelter under. Money left over will go into his foundation

During that I read about a lot of people getting tired of sitting in a 12 hour traffic jam to get north, spend 2 days in an over priced motel, and nothing every happened in NO. They get back to NO, the neighbors tell them about the hurricane party they had where everyone got ripped and had a great time and didn't waste $200 on gas and a motel for nothing. That was a 36 year run from Camille in '69 to Katrina in '05 where nothing much happened to NO.
 
Well, anyone that gets in trouble there they will rescue. It's just they won't make the attempt while the storm is going on, it risks the lives of the rescue people. You are just on your own until the storm passes. They do tend to be a little over cautious. If they under estimate a storm and a lot of people get in trouble then people get angry at the government.
