Way OT there,does anyone know what the drive chain size is on an Overhead Door brand commercial opener? I am guessing around a 1980s model. It has a chain drive speed reducer too.

There is quite a few sizes. Look on side of links for
stamped number, 41, 49, 51 etc.

Could be lot's of different sizes, you will have to look for numbers or measure it.

I can t read the chain,and I guess I have never had a reason to learn how to measure the pitch and size of chain. Something to add to the must learn list

It's easy to measure.

It will be one of the top four on this chart, probably a 35 or 41. If it is a 41, a more common 40 will work.

I finale looked at You Tube,my best guess is #40.
I cut the chain to get it off and tomorrow I will take it to the store(I need a sprocket)
Some of my homemade projects could have been bought at the store for less money!
