Bought some at MSC but standard shipping to 1 state over was $12.00 for 6 wheels seems high ?

Enco, owned by MSC for some years now, has recently been absorbed by MSC. I've ordered from Enco for several years because they ocasionally offered 20% discount and free freight. Msc prices are higher and must charge taxes as they usually have a retail store in many states.

$12 shipping is about minimum what UPS charges to my house here in NC. They add on a freight charge since I live about 22 miles from the terminal and they charge more if it is a residence and not a business too.

I recall once I shipped a Kohler crankshaft to a grinder in Charlotte, NC 45-50 miles away. I shipped through the business I worked for as we had shipped thousands of packages all across the country. (So they had a really good shipping rate, I guess) My cost to ship to the business in Charlotte was just over $9. But it cost the grinder about $14 to ship it back to me at my house.

Still cheaper than driving to Charlotte twice, though.
