Dryer has stopped several times before load was dry. The last time it would not restart. I thought it might need cleaning. I was right. Also thought the rollers or slide pads might be a problem. Right about that too. Not sure how old it is, but probably more than 10 years old. I took it apart and there was lint plugging around the fan and the vent ducting out of the dryer chamber. While cleaning, I found the felt pads that the front of the drum slides/glides on. I called a semi-local appliance parts place and they had a kit for $46. I decided to pass on this. I then called an online parts place and they said about $36. These parts are a plastic strip and a felt pad attached with double side tape. There is a left and right. I decided to tape them back in place and give it a try. I am surprised the dryer was drying with the obstructions in the exhaust. Good side is that the ducting between the dryer and the outside was almost lint free. I will see how this works. Maybe need to buy the parts in the future, but at that price, I will try using an adhesive first. Just reminding everyone that this may be required on your dryer also. Not sure how much of a fire hazard this was, but feel a lot better about it now.
