Gas blower leak

My gas leaf blower is leaking gas where the little gas lines go into the plastic tank. Several months ago I replaced the gas lines and it hasn't leaked until now. There is nothing to seal it from leaking other than the tight fit of the lines going through the tank. What has happened?

Not uncommon.

If you used the correct fuel line and do not use gasoline with ethanol it should not leak for 15+ years.

If you used the incorrect size fuel line it may leak immediately.

If you use gasoline with ethanol and did not use the correct fuel line it could leak within months.

Hello ldj,

If the blower is an Homelite, it takes a special line. It is about .010 to .015 bigger on the O.D. When
replacing the line just ask for a Homelite blower.
If someone used a screwdriver to put the line through the tank, your fix is a new tank,

Guido.

Well it is a homelite. Is it the only thing that uses a special size fuel line?
Thanks

Hello ldj

Like I said, ask for a fuel line that is for a Homelite. Usually end of problem! Make sure to inspect the
hole in the tank for burs.......
