Kaufman Trailers

Has anyone bought a Kaufman trailer ? I'm looking at them online. found just what I wanted. Will be going to NC this winter so haul one home to Maine. Thanks

I had a 30T equipment float from them. The only problem I had was the wood ramps and hard to load anything when they were wet, my dozer slid off and landed on it's side, just take the lumber off. Had it delivered here (TX) cheaper than going to get it.

Have you tried Hooper in Monticello, GA. They beat everyone when we bought. They have a place in north GA about 20 minutes from here.
When I bought one for Clemson U, they told me $2000 for what we wanted. I said anything over $1500 has to go through a bid process. They said, how about $1495 then?

Three weeks ago I tagged along with a neighbor/friend who brought a trailer back here for a local JD dealer. Detachable gooseneck powered by tractor hydraulics. Aluminum pull outs as this trailer is especially for self propelled sprayers. We were originally told NC, but ended up going to Bennettsville SC, where it was manufactured. I can only offer an opinion based on observation. I was impressed with the trailer, and the others I saw there. I was impressed with the people and the facility. Got to see trailers in various stages of completion. I would certainly be considering them if I was in the market. Obviously the local JD dealer thought this was the best for them.

When I was looking for new trailers I looked at Kaufman, Liberty, PJ,Johnson trailers, Big Tex, and several others. In the model I wanted there was really very little difference in trailers and prices. I would have bought one from any one of them but only one could get me the trailer with what I wanted on trailer and deliver it in 5 weeks and that was PJ trailers all the others were 12 + weeks. The big problem when I ordered mine none of them had a 102" built or dealer with one on lot.

I follow a "heavy hauler" on YouTube that just switched from Kaufman to Fontaine.
He was happy with his Kaufman but they couldn't build him a new DGN the way he wanted it.

Buy 2 haul one back on the other sell and pay for trip can even fit smaller ones on top .
Local guy does this 2 or 4 times a year .
