Anyone ever use one of these

We have one, wife uses it when she makes pies. Works pretty well. I sharpened the blade last year and it's a little tricky to get it set right so it doesn't take too much below the peel. My mom got one that is all plastic. Can't remember the name but it works beautifully.

My aunt has a Pampered Chef one and it works well, though of course it works best on firm, unblemished and uniform apples.

Use one myself now and then. It must have a razor sharp blade. Found I could use the blades a barber uses to give a "razor" cut. A little modification and fitting the blade, but it sure made it peal better.

I had an old one about like that, it was my
grandpa's. When I was a little guy,I just
messed around with it with the junky apples
on the ground, while he actually used it to
peel the good apples. I have no idea where
it is at this time unfortunately.

Apple peeler - I think the one I've inherited has a cogged drive sprocket that spins all the components - the original tines were "repaired" before I earned the right to even turn the peeler, by someone
brazing the tines of a fork in their place. Wonderful tool - if say, you're tacking 6 bushels of apples for an apple butter making event.

Take your cordless drill, 3/4" spade bit, and hand held peeler; insert bit into apple core, pull the trigger and peel away!
Saw it on Facebook.
