I have acquired a dunlap post drill Model #2401. I need a manual to see how the automatic feed system works. I am missng the feed arm and need to make one but do not know what it looks like. Thanks for any help.

If I remember right Dunlap was Sears second line of tools.
Haven't seen or heard of them in a long time.

Yes that is correct. Somewhere around 1940 Dunlap started making some Sears tools, or the other way around. I believe that the Sears # is 103.2401 although I have been unable to find any listing for it anywhere I have looked.

I have a Dunlap bench drill press that belonged to my uncle and dad. In its day it was Sears cheap line of tools.Today it looks more like a top of the line compared to the junk we get from China.
For a manual you might try a search through Ebay you may get luck and find some one that has one for sale.

Bob: Did you try vintagemachinery.org? I found some helpful info on my Champion post drill there. You may have to dig a bit but they're got lots of stuff available on old shop machinery.

Bob,
I posted photos and text on an old Dunlap Post Drill I acquired 3-4 years ago out in Goldfield, NV. I have not been able to access this post not the photos for some time now. If you'd like me to send these photos to you, you may reach me here raymero at yahoo dot com .
