Identify the manufacturer please

Old metric calipers. I'm guessing "old" because they are not stainless, but rather some kind of carbon steel. I'm also guessing "european" because they are metric. Anyone recognize the logo? It's the only marking I could find.

Often trademarks were used in ads and can be found in old machinery supply catalogs [even available to read on google] . The problem with this one is if it is European it won't be in any US catalogs. I looked in a 1945 machinery Blue Book I have and did not see that logo.

Thanks for trying. For a grand total of one american dollar that it cost me, I can live without knowing its genealogy. Just glad it didn't go to scrap.
