wrist watch

Wife gave me a wrist watch and the band is such. If I take a link out it's too tight. And if I leave it like it is it's too loose. I was walking down the aisle at Walmart and saw foam sheets. There were 6 colored in a package and had sticker on one side. Yep-shim stock. Put that in there and it was just right. Doesn't flop around my wrist anymore. I know this is for tools! But I thought it might help someone.

I buy leather watch bands, after they get sweaty/wet they stretch out just right.

As an aside, my kids (and the pups at work) tell me I'm an old guy 'cause I wear a watch instead of looking at my phone.

I wear a nylon watch band and they seam to last for ever. They don't rot out like a leather band does from sweat.

When I tried to wear a wristwatch I busted
one a week. Then I got a pocket watch very
first day swung a drawbar over and smashed
it. I got awful good at telling time by
the sun as long as you know when sunrise
and sunset you use your fingers and it's
not hard. Working in factories watch the
guy with the cell phone he ain't gonna
miss a break.

On the day I retired (14 years ago)my watch went out the window on the ride home.
I have no problem knowing when to get up, eat a meal or go to bed.

I have not worn a watch since the military . I had a velcro olive drab watch bad that had a cover for the crystal. It adjusted to any size due to the Velcro. When working I never watched the clock or cared to know the time. Got whistle bit alot.

I've had real problems trying to find a velcro cloth band that was big enoung to go arond my wrist and the lock the velco. It
seems such a simple thing but as with most consumer goods that I need my size or shape just doesn't fit the "most used" segment of
society. My needs are not in the Walmarts size parameters. I'm a normal sized person (I think). Everything item of clothing just
isn't made to fit me. It seems as though the economy is driven by teenage girl sizes. Okay I've read this and where I'm goin' is
"Just Make the cloth Velcro Watch Bands a little longer". The End. bjr

Look at the clasp, the part you open and close when taking the watch off. There should be about 5 "adjusting holes" in it with a pin in there which attaches the band to it. This is how you adjust the fine tuning part of the band.

Last time I wore a watch I was rolling a truck tire out and the tread grab the watch band and cut my wrist. little blood!
