TO-35 ignition switch, starter button placement

I recently purchased a Ferguson TO-35 and am in the process of restoration. All of the gauges are present on the instrument panel. However, there are three holes on the front of the panel. Two holes on the left side and one hole on the right side. My Parts Manual indicates an ignition switch on the right side and a starter button on the left side. What is the third hole for. Did someone drill this hole? Is it for a light switch? Someone installed a crude toggle switch in the third hole. Serial Number S169562 indicates 1956, I think! Can anyone solve this issue for me?
Thanks.

Well, I thought I should know this, but did some research and found there were different dash panels and configurations of switches.

Some had the light switch combined with the ignition switch (on the right) and a push button start (on the left).

Some had the ignition switch only (on right), push start (on left) and pull light switch (on left).

Look the holes over closely, a factory hole will be prefect round, and punched through. A drilled hole will not be round and will have torn, jagged edges.

Here are a couple of good pictures, you can click on the picture to expand it. Notice the different shape of the embossed flat on the dash where the switches are.

You might post below on the Harry Ferguson board, get a year/model specific answer.

I agree with Steve. I had a 35 Perkie 3 cyl diesel and a 35 De Luxe gasser with PS. Both tractors were 60's vintage. Both had different dash arrangements. I have a full set of manuals for the things and didn't find an answer to suit me.

If you have the Perkie 3 banger, the torque curve peaks at 1000 rpm. If you don't think that little sucker will climb a tree, don't test it......it will.
