Fuel oil tank legs

So, I picked up a fairly standard ~275 gal tank but, it has no legs; simply 4 threaded sockets. It 'appears' that the legs would be 1.25" sch 40 w/ NPT. Would someone more knowledgeable than I tell what I'm looking for to replace the pipe legs?
Thanks in advance.

Galvanized or black pipe are what I have seen used. If you just need short legs you can just get pipe nipples at the hardware store.

Yep just pipe, if not using galvanized I'd think about using Sch 80 black nipples. But I'm kinda one of those heavier is better dinosaurs. Gee I just noticed the green line on the bottom of the post warning us about politics, hate speech or bigotry. Wonder if that's targeted at me specifically or at everyone as a result of the contentious election now underway?

I saw it too, I assume it is universal to all posts at the present time. It's probably more necessary than usual during a very contentious campaign season.

I'm pretty sure that's right. When I replaced a couple last year the hardware store cut and threaded them on one end. They screwed right in.

Just get some 1 1/4" pipe nipples the length you desire.

Depending on the surface it will sit on, you can put some caps on the pipe to keep them from digging into concrete, or screw some floor flanges on if it will be on a dirt or wood floor.

On the bottom of the pipe legs I welded on old worn out disc blades. It made itreal stable and will not sink into ground.

I have a very similar tank. My legs are set on 4 solid concrete blocks and the tank is slightly slanted so that I can open a drain valve on one end and get any water or dirt out of the tank.

If it is an older tank those feet could be weak. I know someone who's full tank's feet collapsed and cost a fortune in spill clean-up.
