Kobalt brand tools

What are your experiences with Kobalt tools? I bought a Kobalt brand screwdriver at Lowe's around last Christmas. It's a #2 size and I don't use it every day and it hasn't had much use. Today I noticed that the points look quite worn already so I'm wondering if it's made from some cheaper, softer metal.

I have a Kobalt socket set and have been very pleased. If something breaks, take it to Lowes and they give me a new one.

The best Phillips screwdrivers that I have bought in the last few years were Greenlee, when Lowes sold them in their electrical supply section. Now they sell Southwire or some such name. Do not know how good they are. Klein also makes good screwdrivers.
I know this is not what you asked, just passing along my experience. I hate a sorry Phillips!

Be careful with what you want warrantied. I had a Kobalt tack puller that I broke. I took it back to Lowes and since they didn't have one in the store I was out of luck. They gave me some phone number to call between 8-5 weekdays and said to call them. I'm on my job 8-5. That broken tack puller is still laying around here someplace.

Sears is better with their warranty. More than once they went out of their way to make me satisfied before I left the store. One time they replaced a 20+ year old torque wrench and the paperwork still in the box plainly said it had a 1 year warranty.

I have a few Kobalt things. I've been satisfied with them. The rachet broke but I haven't had time to take it back or remember when I head there. It's not the fault of the maker. I can be hard on tools. I doubt they intended me to use a cheater on it.
