WAY OT !!! Watch battery

Appealing to the wide scope of knowledge represented on this site. I recently acquired a Fossil watch due to a death in the family. The battery had been removed so I don't know what the replacement would be. Would any of you know what the replacement battery would be for a Fossil model# AM3689 ? It was in a box with a number of other watches that all had the batterys removed. It will be my work watch when using my 2N. (to keep it tractor related )

take it to a watch repair shop here it will cost you 10.00 but it will be worth it for the first time

Size is sometimes stamped in the back cover. Something like R1, R44, 357A. HF has a variety pack with the 6 or so most common sizes for about $5. They usually last about a year or so instead of 2 or 3, but worth a shot.

Nearest HF and watch repair are 110 miles away. So, not an option.

Fossil has a website and a 800 number. Might try them first. All ways best to try the original source first.
