corn shellers

Just for fun [and it is my nature to try to be helpful --sometimes when I got nothin']. I google Images Blackhawk corn sheller . The most common pictured are rust. Some are black , red and even blue. How you would decipher an original paint job would be to start clicking on each google image. Lots of photos of them.
 
Yes, Paint was a whole different ball game as often a sign painter would have to mix his colors using a mortor and pedestal to grind red Chinese beetles and mix his own color with linseed oil. Paint was heavily leaded and the processes very toxic to workers that made the white lead. But every color we know now was made one way or another . It just might not have been as easy as opening a can of paint , but they had color variety by 1903.
