Air Compressor Problems

Just got a Craftsman 2 gallon air compressor and have a problem with it. It pumps rapidly to 60 pounds and then goes no further. I noticed that a lot of air is coming out of the oil fill cap. I have replaced the head gaskets and the reeds are in place. I'm thinking that there is excessive blowby past the rings. No rings and/or pistons are avail from Sears. Your thoughts? It is model number 921.152100. Thanks

Is it an oil less? If so it's oil less, not worth fixing.

FYI for $99 HF has sales on 2 hp oil compressor, 8 gallon. It works great. Nice to be able to put the HF in truck, use as portable air.

If you can't get parts look at HF.

When they get that bad, best to shoot them and put them out of your misery. If the rings are that badly worn the cylinder is too and then add the compressor has been discontinued it's not worth the time and trouble to rebuild.
