Kohler generator problem update

Posted problem 2 days ago about genset not running fast enough. At first I thought it was the gas regulator but since then I started it and moved the Gov/throttle linkage by hand and it speeds up, so now I believe it's a governor prob. as suggested by Dean. (Thanks). I can't control it steady enough by hand. It either overspeeds or underspeeds. Will call Kohler tech spt. tomorrow. Thanks for all the replies so far. I will update as progress is made.

I have worked on Kohler larger units in the past. Always got good service from the tech support section.
